Arrived Wednesday afternoon to a drizzly day but got set up without getting too wet. Had happy hour and got to know each other over a few drinks and nbibbles
Next day weather not too bad so some members went to Hunter Valley Gardens whilst the others visited relatives for coffee. Quiet afternoon with of course the obligatory happy hour in the camp kitchen.
Thursday we all set off for a drive around Lovedale including stops at olive and cheese tastings, then wine tasting at Tempus Two. Lunch at Hunter Valley Gardens village then back to caravan park for a lazy afternoon. Pizza oven was managed well by Phil and we all had yummy pizza for dinner with drinks of course. Friday morning saw bacon and eggs cooked up before Ron and Kerrie departed.

At the Hunter Valley Gardens the sun shone most of the day. There are 10 differently themed display gardens plus Snow Time. Was plenty of staff planting pansies, these will look fabulous when mature, have made mental note to come back in Spring. Naturally found the Snow Time. No we didn't have a skate but did play in the snow and was so tempting to throw a snow ball. Decided on a Ferris Wheel ride where we could see over majority of the gardens. On way home called into Lakes Folly and had a taste of their boutique wine. Decided not to buy ( $90.00 a bottle )
Light drizzle early again so decided to have day at camp. Kimberley and Bev washed and hung out. All but socks were dry. Game of Phase 10 in afternoon was enjoyed by all...especially Phil...he won.
Saturday sunny and markets were on. Mainly craft items. There was so many people around especially at Polkolbin shops where the road to the gardens was closed and you were directed the other way. That afternoon Phil cooked us a scrumptious dampier.
Sunday decided to stay at camp due to how busy the roads are. Phil and Kimberley decided to do lamb shanks for us in their camp ove. Phil organised the fire and when cooked must say was so tender and delicious. Later the fire was stoked up and 6 Victorians came and joined us.Was good company and great sitting around the fire till late.
Monday Phil and I decided to try our hand at Aqua Golf. Was a lot of fun. I managed to fill my car with Unleaded 91 @ $1.73 litre. Not bad. Diesel was $2.23.
In the morning we packed up and said our good byes and agreed was great to be away in our vans again.
